Things not to be done when washing

• Never wash your hair with very hot water or very cold water.
• Don't rinse your hair so often. Because it will make your hair dry and will affect your hair.
• Do not wash your hair every day, if it is dry because shampoo and heat appliances will make it brittle.
• Avoid shampoo that contain sodium laurel sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate.
• Do not use too much shampoo to wash your hair.

Things not to be done during brushing or combing

• Do not comb or brush your hair when it is wet.
• Don't comb your hair for prolong hours.
• Avoid back combing of your hair, as it can cause knotting.
• Never use nylon hair brushes with spiky ends on your hair as they tend to damage your hair.
• Do not believe that theory about brushing your hair 100 strokes every day.
• Do not brush your hair with a soft brush, brush it with one of the hard ones.
• Do not touch the roots of your hair with the brush or comb.
• Always use a wide toothed comb with the smooth seams.

Things not to be done when using heat appliances

• Do not use blow dryer too much. This makes your hair broken.
• Do not hold blow dryer too close to your head.
• Do not use blow dryer with a very hot flow of air.
• Don't dry your hair completely with the blow dryer.
• Do not use heated iron on wet hair.
• Do not wrap the cord around the iron as it may fray or damage cord, causing a hazard.
• Never use sponge rollers, because they absorbs all the moisture your hair.
• Avoid sleeping in hair accessories like head band, barrettes.
• Do not use an appliance over 1200 watts and work with a diffuser attatchment to spread heat.
• Don't leave the blow dryer in one spot for more than a few seconds.
• Do not vigorously rub the hair with towel to dry it.

Things not to be done during hair dying

• Do not leave hair dye too longer on your hair than necessary.
• Never mix hair coloring products even if you are trying to get a different color or effect.
• Its better to avoid dyes. You may use henna instead as a conditioner and coloring agent.
• If possible do not apply chemicals to your hair without a consultation from a professional stylist.
• Do not purchase a hair color that comes in box.

Things not to be done when applying Hair products

• Do not use hair products with the alcohol because it dries out your hair.
• Do not apply hair styling product directly on your scalp.
• Don't forget to wash your hair thoroughly from the styling products before going to bed.
