Homemade Conditioners for All Hair Types


You can get a variety of items in your kitchen cupboard that may successfully replace your expansive hair conditioner treatment, nourishing, moisturizing and styling your hair the way you want them.

Coconut Milk Conditioner

Coconut milk has a pleasant refreshing smell that has a pleasant effect on our senses. It can be mixed with egg white to get a unique soothing hair conditioner. Take some;
  • Coconut milk by grinding and squeezing a fresh coconut
  • 1 egg white
  • 2 to 4 drops of any hair oil preferably coconut oil.
First of all whisk well egg white, now add coconut milk and oil and mix all these ingredients. Apply to your hair. Leave this homemade conditioner for 20 minutes. A hot, damp towel wrapped around your head gives a deeper conditioning effect.
In this recipe, egg white proteins add strength and elasticity, coconut milk nourishes as well as makes your tresses glowing, softly scented, smooth and soft.

Mayonnaise conditioner

This is a well known recipe for homemade hair conditioner;
  • 1/2 cup of Mayonnaise
Apply mayonnaise to your dry hair, work into hair really well and then cover your hair with a plastic bag, allowing to set it for about 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and then shampoo as usual.

Sunflower oil hair conditioner

  • 5 tablespoon wheat germ oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 5 tablespoon sunflower oil
Mix the two oils and warm the mixture. Massage the mixture on the head and wash off with the luke warm water to which one tablespoon of lemon juice has been added.

Avocado hair conditioner

  • 1/2 cup avocado paste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 egg yolk
Beat the egg and mix the avocado paste into it. Add olive oil and blend well to get a smooth consistency. Apply this for 30 minutes and then wash off with the luke warm water.

Rosemary hair conditioner

Rosemary has a fresh woody smell that is refreshing for both mind and body. A hair treatment with rosemary oil is a good way to give shine and volume to dry dull hair. For rosemary conditioner take;
  • Few drops of rosemary essential oil
Wash your hair with your regular shampoo. Now take some drops of the rosemary essential oil onto the palms of your hands and work throughout the scalp leaving not a single hair. If desired rinse again.

Tropical conditioner

  • Coconut milk
  • 1 Avocado
Peel and pit avocado. Mash avocado and slowly add coconut milk until smooth and the consistency of hair conditioner. Work through hair to ends. Rinse after 15 minutes and shampoo.

Honey conditioner

  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 egg yolk
Mix all ingredients in a small bowl and massage on hair in small section. Wrap head with the shower can for 30 minutes. Rinse and shampoo.

Egg conditioner for Dry Hair

  • 1 Whole egg
  • 1/2 cup fresh yogurt
  • Fresh Juice of one lemon
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon essential oil of your choice like olive oil, coconut oil and so forth.
Mix these well in a bowl and apply on you hairs as well as scalp. Put a shower cap or simply wrap your hairs in a towel. Let it work for 30 minutes or if possible for one hour. Otherwise 30 minutes will be sufficient. Now rinse and shampoo and be ready for a silky shiny hair day.
