If you are interested in taking good care of your hair, learn how to condition hair.
Conditioning is not a step one can skip. It adds protection to your hair by coating each strand against wear and tear and offers added shine as well. By
coating each strand, it offers easier detangling which in turn prevents hair from breaking at the critical time.
The real reason people want to use the hair
conditioner is to give hair a better look and feel as well as to solve certain hair problems. May be your hair is too dry, too frizzy, thinning out or have
been damaged by the excessive coloring or relaxers; regardless of your hair problem, a hair conditioner should help you and your hair deal with it.

You can get a wide range of hair conditioners at any grocery shop
Hair combs can be used to spread conditioner evenly through the hair.

In fact
conditioning is a vital part of proper hair care. Regular washing and exposure to the sun robs hair off their natural oils and shine. To restore it back, you
should condition your hair at least twice a month. Conditioners are not necessarily giving your hair a radiant glow, but they can coat the hair with a
lubricant or synthetic that replaces the stripped out sebum.
How To Condition Hair
Hair conditioning is not a difficult procedure and most people think they can do it very well. Generally instructions are mentioned on commercial packs. Usually
you will be told to apply the hair conditioners evenly over your hair particularly scalp and leave it on a few minutes. Rinse it off
thoroughly.
Here are the simple steps;
- Shampoo your hair and remove all the grim and oil from your hair.
- Untangle your hair with your fingers.
- Now take little amount of conditioner on your palm.
- Rub this conditioner between both your palms and emulsify it.
- Run your fingers between your hair.

- To spread the conditioner evenly through your hair, comb your hair with wide toothed comb.
- Leave the conditioner in your hair for about 2 to 5 minutes, however, some brands recommend ten minutes as the working time.
- After the specific time, rinse your hair throughly.
- Wrap the towel around your head, so that the towel can soak all the moisture.
- Comb your hair with wide toothed comb.
Things to remember about conditioning your hair
The following steps remember when you conditioned your hair;
- Use a conditioner formulated for your hair type
- Do not "over condition". Too much conditioning will leave your hair limp and hard to set.
- You can make a simple, inexpensive conditioner using kitchen oils, such as sesame, mayonnaise, or olive. Just warm the oil and apply it to your
hair.
Conditioning of dry hair
Dry hair is because of the insufficient production of the oil glands, over exposure to the sun, drying shampoos, and frequent use of blow drying and the hot
rollers. If your hair is very dry or frizzy, then you may need a deep conditioner. It is very effective for the dry hair. Deep conditioning takes about 30
minutes to work. For best results, wrap your hair in a warm towel and sit in the sun or under a warm dryer. If you have a dry hair, deep conditioning should
be done about once a week.
What to do?
- Use a shampoo that is rich in in conditioners.
- After shampooing, use a conditioner and let them dry naturally.
- Only one sudsing per shampoo. if possible rinse thoroughly.
- Conditioners protect the hair’s cuticle layer from splitting from the shaft. Pick a conditioner that works well for your hair and use it after every
shampoo.
Deep Conditioning
Deep conditioning adds moisture back into the hair that is removed by the daily activities. This happens during summer from sun and wind while in winter from
the hats and scarves. Replace expensive salon treatment and store bought products with a homemade hot oil treatment, that will deep condition your hair.
Take a jar of cholesterol and mix it with 1/4 cup of the olive oil. Put onto clean wet hair and cover with a plastic shower cap. Use a generous amount,
enough to cover your hair completely and then comb your hair. Now wrap a towel around your head and leave it for about 1/2 hour. After the specific time,
rinse thoroughly.
